Suspended Points

The series Puntos Suspendidos fragments the image into circles, transforming it into a three-dimensional composition that overflows the traditional limits of photography. The cut-out circles, pinned together, seem to float in space, evoking a sense of suspension in time, like an insect preserved in a collection. This gesture is in direct dialogue with the photographic concept, which freezes an instant to make it eternal.

In this series, faces are the central axis, but not from a traditional perspective. Some are presented with a cubist look, showing the simultaneity of different angles and expressions of the same face. This multiplicity challenges the unitary perception of identity, inviting the viewer to contemplate the complexity of the gaze and time.

The pins, recurring elements in my work, not only physically support the pieces, but also function as symbols of tension, fragility and permanence. In Puntos Suspendidos, the human face and its fragmentation become metaphors for memory, time and perception, creating a work that is both delicate and deeply introspective.
