Panorama

Panorama is a photographic diptych that was taken from a hillside of the Doña Juana landfill on the outskirts of Bogotá. On one side we see the waste, tons of garbage that arrive daily from the city. On the other side of the hill, the urban landscape, inhabitants that without more possibilities live these circumstances on a daily basis. My work points to the internal dialogue between the images: Gurskyan* landscapes that, instead of talking about supermarkets and cars, speak of the crude reality of Bogota, our resources and our living conditions. This work, rather than showing a reality, aims to create a collective conscience about it in those who observe it.
